The legendary Bobby Goldsmith Foundation Bake Off is back - bringing high camp, high sugar and heartfelt community spirit.
Amateur and pro bakers alike compete with outrageous creations, judged and sold for a great cause. Born in the 1980s during the HIV epidemic, this iconic fundraiser continues to raise vital funds for people living with HIV. It's time to get baking!!
This colourful, community-based event brings together professional and amateur bakers vying for the win across six categories – best decorated, best fete baking, best professional creation, best tart or pie, and the coveted best and worst cake.
The origins of this much-loved event go back to 1987 and ran for 30 years before it was retired in 2017, returning only once since then to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
Event tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. Cake entries ($10 per cake, per category) are submitted separately via the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation website here — if you’re entering a cake, you don’t need to purchase an event ticket.
